No New Posts The Great Oak

The Great Oak is easily the largest tree in the lower forest. Towering above the others this tree is at least ten feet wide at the trunk and more than a hundred feet tall. Though there are trees in the upper forest that are taller, down here it seems a giant, and the spread of it's branches covers about eighty feet.
It sits in a clearing by itself on a hill, which probably adds to the impressive appearance.

No New Posts The High Meadow - 1 Viewing

Deep within the pines of the upper forest is a large meadow. It's the largest clearing in the area. During the summer it's filled with wild flowers and it's a good place to find all sorts of animals year round. During the spring and summer there is a small creek that runs through here, but it dries up in the fall and winter. The water is snow melt so it's always very cold.

No New Posts The River

There are many creeks and streams through out the forest, but one way or another most of them join this river at some point before joining the lake on the valley floor. The river varies in width and deepness from location to location but it's always cold. It is a good place to catch fish and hunt. There are several swimming spots. Be careful around the river in the spring though, as the increased snow melt can cause it to swell and become more dangerous.

No New Posts The Forest Station

The gondola runs from the town through the forest and up to the summit of the mountain. There are three stops, one in the town, one in the forest, and one at the summit.
This board is for rping at the forest station. This station is open air (it has a roof but no walls) and it's located about midway up the mountain in the transition area between oak and pine.

Board Description
The Forest
The forest starts in the foothills and extends up the side of the mountain. The lower forest is mostly oaks and the upper forest is mostly pines but there is no clear border between the two, as they gradually fade into each other. There are several rivers and creeks throughout.

There are a wealth of animals here.
