&&Setting Humanity is a society on a decline. Much of the knowledge we had when we left earth and took to the stars has since been lost. Populations are scattering, crime and death rates are up, birth rates are down. If humans continue on the path we have been, we will die out. In an effort to prevent the sin and corruption the Council sees everywhere they have created strict rules and control nearly every aspect of their citizen's lives, where they live, what work they do, even playing a part in choosing who they marry. The hands off approach they plan on taking with the Eden Project is unprecedented in the last thousand years at least. Humans now mostly live in six locations each culturally distinct. Those chosen for the Eden Project were selected in equal parts from each location.

&&The Six Human Colonies Humans now mostly live in six culturally and economically distinct locations. Candidates for the Eden Project were chosen in equal parts from each location. &&Tunia Tunia is the water moon of Gorath. Humans have established a colony here. The primary industry of Tunia is fishing. Tunia has no native advanced life forms, and humans are the only group who have colonized it. Tunia's culture is one of good music, spicy food, good jokes and free spirits. The people of Tunia live on house boats and floating cities. &&Askion Askion is the forest planet. It's primary industries are logging, meat, and adventure tourism. The people of Askion are used to solitude and are often excellent naturalists. They generally enjoy the quieter pleasures in life, a good book, a warm fire, a hearty meal. They typically have a large amount of respect for nature. &&Osqilon Osqilon is the mountain planet. The harsh environment on Osqilon has made it's people as hard as the mountains they call home. Osqilon's primary industries are mining and smithing. People from Osqilon are typically blunt, straightforward people. They work hard and celebrate harder, holding large parties with feasts and lots of drinking. &&Ruria Ruria is the largest of the human's farming ships. Ruria is the most conservative and most devout of all the human colonies. They adhere to strict and old fashioned social norms, anyone who fails to do so is ostracized and sometimes even asked to leave. Their primary industries are farming and ranching, and they produce the majority of the agriculture for all of the human colonies. &&Asnarth Asnarth is a port planet and trading hub. Asnarth is basically one big city. Many different species live here and it is highly multicultural. The humans who live here are primarily involved in the Tech business. The humans here are as diverse as the company they keep. Asnarth has the most highly educated human population of any of the human colonies. &&Osbreon Osbreon is the name of the Council's ship. Those who live here primarily work in service to the council and sometimes have political goals of their own. Living with the council means that those from Osbreon are the most under the Council's control. They are not able to get away with infractions against the Council's rules as often as those who live in other colonies.

&&Planet Eden Planet Eden is the planet chosen for Project Eden. It has a mild climate and a diverse environment. The Council had some initial infrastructure built, simple basic things (intended to be replaced once Eden's society got on their feet). This infrastructure includes a small town on the grassy valley floor, next to a lake and the river that flows into it. The town includes several housing units, a few farms and ranches, and a meeting building. There is also a monorail station. There is only one train, and it only has three stops, the town, one stop in the forest on the mountainside, and one stop at the mine entrance at the summit of the mountain. Please see the locations and wildlife threads for more info on those subjects. Please check the Weather tab on the banner for more information on climate and season.
