Personality
Averi Grace is quiet by nature, reserved by choice. She is most at home tending to her small-scale farm, which consists of 10 Apple trees and an assortment of vegetables and herbs, some of which are put to use by the medics. This work is all she knows, as she grew up gardening to help sustain her father and herself in Askion rather than pursing an education. She is as humble as she is quiet, and does not take complements well. In company she is awkward, despite her last name, and she dislikes feeling obligated to make conversation. Due to the fact that her childhood was spent in near-solitude, she honestly lacks social skills, and she knows it. She does not speak eloquently, and when writing (which she tries to avoid) she cannot spell.
History
Averi has never been able to remember her mother, and since her father never spoke of her, Averi has never known who she was or what happened to her. She was born and raised in Askion, living in a cabin several miles away from any neighbors. She was raised alone by her father, who did little but drink beer and hunt. He was neither kind nor cruel. He spoke little, often only in grunts. She didn't mind this; there was little to talk about. She found her solace in gardening, which came natural to her, and taught herself to read through books presumably left behind by her mother. Her spelling never improved.
Her only friend had been Clover, a puppy born from her father's hunting dog. Clover is who she missed most when she received her summons to join Project Eden. The summons was a surprise to both her and her father; they were unsure of how anyone even really knew of her existence, or why they would even summon her, a filthy girl with dirt under her fingernails and grass in her hair. The day she left for Project Eden was the only day that she saw her father show emotion, and the only confirmation she had that he did, in fact, love her: When she turned the last time to wave goodbye, a single tear was falling down his cheek.
